IAG Stock Location Turbo Oil Feed & AVCS Line For 2006-14 Subaru WRX, 04-21 STI, 05-09 LGT, 04-08 FXT

First, IAG makes great aftermarket performance parts that I will continue to support.
However, this oil feed kit needed some trial and error on fitting it in.
I picked this up because I put a slight link in my factory line when putting the block back in. Didn’t want to risk it so I picked up this kit since I prefer braided lines over hard lines.
At first I thought the braided lines were way too long and would need some dressing up to address slack. Wrong.
Here’s what I’m working with: EJ25 with B25 heads and an aftermarket turbo.
Initial issues: (wish I could upload a pic for reference) rear oil port on head has a flanged portion of the cast so you can’t have the “T” upside down like I wanted to install initially.
With my aftermarket turbo, I couldn’t install the “T” on its side above oil port so bottom portion of the”T” was towards passenger fender. The line on top in that orientation would intersect a line and turbine housing.
Only way I could install it was. With “T” on its side, below oil port with lower portion of the”T” towards passenger side fender.
Had plenty line for the AVCS but not enough to supply turbo comfortably. Line for turbo was coming out the bottom of the”T” and looping all the way back to the top of the turbo. Not enough slack to install and it looked odd.
My remedy to make this work was to buy and additional 90 degree fitting and mount it to the top of turbo.
Not a huge hassle, but unless you test fit everything when the block’s on a stand. You’ll be like me and figure things out in the bay with limited access.

OEM feed line cracked and was leaking oil at a decent rate. Got this kit to replace the turbo and AVCS feed. Overall a solid kit with one complaint (imo, the reason for 4 stars and not 5). Read on.

I have a 2008 WRX EJ255 with the head feed port on top of the head under the turbo inlet. I decided to relocate the head feed to the back of the head (like on STi's) if I ever needed to work on this feed line in the future. Installing the feed port in the stock location would have meant I would need to remove the turbo and/or intake if I needed to access this line again. The kit came with a new plug for the old port, which is cool. I imagine both feed port locations would require intake removal to remove stock feed line.

The complaint:
The crush washers were too thin and didn't allow the supplied banjo fittings to lay flat and seal against the head feed port. The hex fitting diameter is wider than the stack height of the banjo fitting and crush washer. Of course I didn't figure this out until the intake was reinstalled and I fired up the engine to discovered the engine puking out oil. 1.3mm crush washers worked but this meant the install spanned two days during cold winter months in Canada in a garage with no heat at -10C/15F.

Anyways, would definitely recommend and/or buy this kit again if I ever had another Subaru, only I'd check the thickness of the crush washers so I don't have to basically do the job twice.

Thought it would come with yellow fittings as pictured. Would have gotten a different brand feed line if I knew they were silver zinc.

Nice kit! Well put together. Makes things much easier to deal with in the turbo area. Be careful with the aluminum T, it’s fragile.

I bought this kit to originally change both the oil feed line and AVCS line. It turns out only my oil feed line was leaking. With this kit I had the flexibility to only change the oil feed line and I will do the rest later by adding the T fitting and extra hose that came with the kit. It is great quality and I recommend it to anyone with a leak or someone that wants to do preventative maintenance.

Fits in nicely on my 06 legacy. The instructions are very complete, but it would be nice if the instructions had some pictures of installing in a vehicle. The motor on a stand mostly apart doesn't really help a novice understand how it's going to fit in the car. The hard part for me was is removing the stock line on top of the block, which I just unbolted and cut to remove before reinstalling the turbo.

Hose is perfect, got rid of that nasty oil leak on my built 06 sti

all steps were clear and concise. simple install for even the shady-est of shade tree mechanics.

I placed an order for overnight shipping and got it in timely manner. Product worked perfectly for my application. Would order from them again!

Talked to the guys at IAG on the phone and they were very helpful with my ridiculous questions about which parts I needed to go with the feed lines and which diagram I needed.

I have owned subarus for the past 10 years and have had a couple with the Vf-40 and the dreaded oil starvation issue. I bought this line system to replace the Subaru ones.. I can say the quality of this product is amazing! The installation was a breeze with the pdf instructions. Overall I am extremely pleased, not to mention the amazing help from Andrew!
