IAG Heat Shield Blanket for 38mm External Wastegates

The IAG Heat Shield Blanket is designed to fit TiAL MV-S or other similarly sized 38mm external wastegates. Built from pulverized volcanic rock and designed to withstand up to 1832°F Continuous or 2300°F Peak, these heat shields provide exceptional thermal protection for engine bay components. These blankets also minimize the heat soak transfer between the main body and actuator body of the wastegate. This insulation ensures more stable operation of the wastegate under extreme conditions.

It's no secret that turbocharged vehicle engine bays get hot! With all of the exhaust omponents in a confined space it's really easy to melt critical components such as vacuum lines, wiring, or charge pipe couplers. These heat shields provide an exceptional thermal barrier for your critical engine components.

Each IAG Wastegate Heat Shield is constructed with an outer layer made from pulverized volcanic lava rock This material is formed into a fabric and woven into a tight mesh weave. The blankets feature internal insulation made from high temperature calcium magnesium silicate wool, which is rated up to 2300°F peak. The insulation is held in place with a high temperature stainless steel mesh for increased durability. These heat shields will stand up to the harshest environments.

These Heat Shields can be easily installed in minutes. Simply wrap the blanket around the wastegate and secure it with the included spring. The spring is designed to hold just the right amount of tension to keep the shield in place during thermal expansion or contraction.
