THE IAG COMPETITION SERIES ENGINE MOUNTS

Designed to fit 2002-2007 WRX, 2004-2021 STI and 2004-2008 FXT Subaru models, the IAG Competition Series Engine Mounts offer the ideal balance of firm stability and performance for everyday street use and weekend competition events. These engine mounts are equipped with 90A durometer bushings that are 30% stiffer than the Subaru GROUP N bushings, providing improved support that leaves little room for lurching or movement, allowing the engine to perform at its peak.

90A DUROMETER BUSHINGS

Included in the Competition Series kit are eight 90A durometer bushings that are slightly stiffer than our 75A Street Series Bushings. These bushings deliver greater stability, while significantly reducing engine movement under heavy acceleration. Designed to enhance throttle response and facilitate a more direct power transfer, they are an excellent choice for high-performance high-powered racing applications.

INTERCHANGEABLE BUSHINGS

If you prefer a softer feel, IAG's 75A durometer street bushings provide a middle ground—firmer than stock but more forgiving than our 90A bushings. Also available are the IAG solid steel bushings designed to meet the demands of high-powered race applications. We also have our new softer 55A durometer Comfort Series bushings available. Due to the stiffness of the bushings, an increase in NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness) in the cabin is to be expected, as is typical with performance bushings.

EASY TO INSTALL

The IAG Competition Series Engine Mounts are designed for easy installation. Those with solid mechanical skills can have them installed in about 30 minutes if using a lift; however, you can also complete the installation without a lift with a bit more time and patience. IAG Engine Mounts require the use of the OEM engine mounting plates. For the 2002-07 WRX, 2004-21 WRX STI and 2004-08 Forester XT you can simply reuse your OEM engine mounting plates. If you do not have them, or they are rusted away you will need 1 of each plate Subaru Part Numbers: 41031VA000, 41031VA010 for installation.

You notice the difference when cranking the engine over....Hard to explain, but it felt tighter. I had the Subaru Group N ones for my 2006 STI, and they had been on for 10 years, and these IAG were my top choice for replacements. I personally didn't notice too much increase in NVH after install, but everybody is different and how NVH feels to them. Plus I like my STI to feel a little bit more "raw/race car feel". Easy install, really glad I got the competition version. You do feel a bit more vibration on cold starts through the steering wheel when you hold it, but it's not crazy at all or anything, in fact to me, when I first noticed it on the first few cold starts, I was like hmmmm what is this...But then it kind made me smirk like you did something to make your Subie happy. It's more like you feel the "subie rumble" through the steering wheel on cold starts. Once car drops a tiny bit in RPM on cold start it goes away. After install I did notice these mounts made my engine seem smoother/tighter/less vibrations/less noise/any looseness was gone compared to the older Group N mounts I had on. I have put on roughly 50-60 miles with the mounts on, half street driving and half freeway driving. The car feels so smooth and planted, almost feels like the car pulls harder do to the stiffer mounts and less wasted energy/movement, it's awesome ! Plus you can swap out any of the bushings to softer/competition/full solid metal inserts so you can fine tune the mount the way you want it to feel, worth every penny ! This is definitely a mod everybody should do, the stock mounts and even the Group N ones I had one, can't be compared to this ! Thanks IAG !

Almost perfect

Great design. Solid materials but it would have saved me a lot of time if they came with basic directions. You can put them in backwards as there is subtle differences where the stud lines up with the subframe. Maybe this review will help others with their install.

Very impressed with these iAG engine mounts that are made from high quality materials love the iAG logo on the aluminum great touch. Now I know why these mounts are priced as they are had no idea the quality they were until I received them also was shipped to the house within 3 days great job iAG.
