GrimmSpeed aftermarket replacement FA20 Head Gasket Sets gaskets are engineered for versatility, and are ideal for everything from a simple rebuild to a high-horsepower track application.

Each GrimmSpeed Head Gasket is constructed using a multi-layer steel (MLS) design. Multiple grades of steel ensure optimal sealing at the surface and combustion chamber when torqued down. A Nitrile rubberized coating on the top and bottom layers accommodates rougher RA surface finishes—up to 50 microinch—ensuring a better seal in non-critical areas. To further enhance performance, a folded stopper layer at the gasket’s edge delivers superior combustion chamber sealing, reducing the risk of head gasket failure under high cylinder pressures common in built engines.

After consulting with engine builders and tuners, GrimmSpeed recognized the need for multiple gasket thickness options. As a result, this gasket is 0.78mm thicknesses to fine-tune compression and fitment. The slightly oversized bore diameters also support up to a 0.5mm overbore.

Designed for compatibility with both the FA20F DIT (Subaru WRX) and FA20D (Subaru BRZ, Scion FRS, Toyota GT86), these gaskets perform equally well in naturally aspirated and forced induction applications.
