WARNING: Maximum allowable turbocharger speed is 114krpm. The use of this product above max turbocharger speed is at the owner’s risk, and can result in damage and premature failure. To protect the turbocharger from overspeed when operating, a speed sensor can be installed into the compressor housing to monitor shaft speed.

ADDITIONAL G45 CONFIGURATIONS

Designed for high-horsepower engine applications, this turbocharger is a gamechanger. A Garrett-powered racer recently made history, becoming the first BMW M Sedan to break into the 7-second range with a 7.964-second pass at 176.71 MPH in the 1/4 mile. The team didn’t stop there, recently improving their performance with a 7.805-second pass at 181 MPH.

On the dyno, the Garrett G-Series G45-1475 turbocharger delivered an impressive 1500 AWHP and 1390 AWTQ with a 1.01 A/R turbine housing (see dynograph below). The BMW G8X, equipped with this turbocharger, features a highly modified setup, including a Pure Drivetrain Solutions drivetrain and an RK Autowerks 3.4L stroker engine kit, among other performance enhancements
