2002-2007 SUBARU WRX AUTOMATIC OR WITH 6-SPEED CONVERSION (R160 REAR) ONE-PIECE CARBON FIBER DRIVESHAFT

Product Description
The 1-piece driveshaft for the Subaru WRX is a complete 2.75″ Carbon Fiber shaft that is approximately 1/2 the weight of the factory 2-piece driveshaft. The 1-piece carbon shaft features larger, replaceable u-joints and can handle about 850WHP and 180 MPH. DSS had the tubing custom wound with a high modulus fiber to ensure the strength while making it small enough to clear everything under the car. All of the factory shields, plates and covers can be used without any alteration to the car at all. Not only will the car feel more responsive but it will also make a noticeable difference on the noise level in the car.

ATTENTION 2003-2007 Subaru WRX and STI owners. DSS have had some warranty issues regarding damaged driveshafts (aluminum and carbon fiber). After some research on their part, they found a common denominator that the driveshafts were damaged 11-12 inches from the differential. The culprit it turns out is either subframe, differential, or transmission mounts/bushings failing and allowing movement of various drivetrain parts resulting in the driveshaft striking the rear brace. As this is not an issue with Driveshaft Shop parts but a maintenance/age issue, DSS will not be offering warranty for this issue any longer. Regardless if you have one of their driveshafts or not please be aware of this issue for the health of your vehicle and its parts.
