ARP uses a premium grade 8740 alloy that is rated far superior to "aircraft" quality. Each bolt placed vertically in special racks and precisely heat-treated to 200,000 psi, ensuring complete heat penetration.

ARP main bolts are designed to improve the strength of the FA20 engine case half set. The bolts help prevent flex in the main bearing tunnel which can result in damaged bearings.
