Congratulations to Karen Kraus, she piloted her IAG sponsored 2006 Subaru WRX, into a 2009 SCCA ESPL National Championship!

Congratulations to Dan Kroll, who won the 2009 TTS NASA Mid Atlantic Championship in his IAG sponsored 2005 STi. The STi unfortunately did not survive the season, it took a tumble at turn 1 at Summit Point going close to 150mph. Dan survived the crash and was relatively unhurt. IAG donated a Subaru WRX shell that Dan has contracted IAG to prepare for the upcoming season.

 

 

 

IAG 35R Rotated Turbo Setups? IAG over the last year has built more than a few 35R rotated turbo setups based on the TiAL V-Band / Garret Turbos and V-Band External Wastegates. The setups are different than the rest of the market as we offer a header with a V-band connection to the uppipe (eliminating gasket failures). Currently these setups are only available for local install and tuning. Any list of add-ons are available such as drop in pistons, front mount intercooler, clutches etc. If you are interested call or email for more information on results, cost, and scheduling.

IAG adds a 424x Dynojet Dynamometer to our facility. This in ground 2 drum dyno is capable of testing two or four wheel drive configurations. Boost and Air Fuel can be monitored with this dyno as well as the typical horsepower and torques readings at the wheels. The data is available to clients digitally or by print out. IAG choose the Dynojet due to its ease of use, repeatable results and its reputation for the dyno that most others dynos are compared to.

Within the last month we have upgraded our service facility with two new Hunter Engineering Service Machines. Our new tire mounting / dismounting machine, the Hunter Auto 34 is almost a completely touchless system (no pry bar tools are required to mount or dismount tires, reducing the possibility of damage to wheel finishes). Its specialty is low profile tires on aggressive fitments up to 34”. This machine is mated to our new Hunter 9700 Road Force Balancing Machine. The 9700 road force balancer can diagnosis tire defects, as well as make recommendations as to how to position the tire on a wheel to provide the best possible balance (works well with bent wheels, or flat spotted tires). The machine will also take into consideration all of the wheels measurements and balance totals and decide the best placement of the wheel / tire on the vehicle to provide a like factory driving experience. The 9700 balancer features the ability to hide balance weights behind wheel spokes, a very nice feature for performance aftermarket wheel and tire combinations when someone does not want to see lead weights on the wheel face surfaces.

That’s not all as we recently purchased a Hunter RX Scissor Lift Rack and HawkEye High Definition Digital Imaging Wheel Alignment System. This new lift was placed in ground at our facility. The rack being level to the ground means even the lowest car will be able to receive a quality performance alignment.
